It has been a busy 24 hours for me. I left my house in Wichita at 04:30 then I headed to the hospital. I said see you later to my brother, while both of us were crying. I was the only passenger on my flight from Wichita to Chicago. Then I had a 4 hour layover in Chicago where I spent most of my time face-timing with my mother and talking to family. I then got on my flight to NYC, landed and then while trying to find the taxi line I ended up in the Uber line, lol. I then managed to take a Uber from the airport to my apartment where I will be staying. It was surreal to be able to drive so quickly through NYC and make it to my apartment in less than 15 mins. Once getting into my apartment and talking with my roommate and one of my best-friends older sister about places to eat, transportation and how things really are I started to devise a plan of how I will get to work each day in a safe manner. I got to finally go to bed at around 11pm and had to be up at 7:00 am for a virtual orientation. I spent over 2hrs trying to access my virtual orientation but they were having technical difficulties. Today I will be going to get my badge and some other stuff done and try to find some water bottles and other essential items.
For those of you that would like to send me any care packages or things you would think would make me laugh/smile or just brigthen my day here is my address:
808 Columbus Ave Apt 12D New York, NY 10025 United States
I love you all and plan to post at much as I can, so I can show how this crazy adventure that I am on.
